Robin R. Wang è professoressa di filosofia alla Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles ed ex Bergen Fellow (2016-2017) presso il Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) presso l’Università di Stanford. Il suo insegnamento e le sue ricerche si concentrano sulla filosofia cinese e comparata, in particolare sulla filosofia taoista, sulle donne e sul genere nella cultura e tradizione cinese. È autrice di Yinyang: The Way of Heaven and Earth in Chinese Thought and Culture (2012) ed editrice di Chinese Philosophy in an Era of Globalization (2004) e Images of Women in Chinese Thought and Culture: Writings from the Pre-Qin Period to the Song Dynasty (2003). Wang è stata presidente della Society of Asian and Comparative Philosophy dal 2016 al 2018.
